About Project Spraoi

Project Spraoi is a primary school health promotion intervention. It aims to increase physical activity, improve dietary intake and positively influence the overall health of Irish children.

Qualified staff called Energizers work with the school staff to deliver Project Spraoi. Key elements of the Project include the delivery of regular huff and puff activity sessions and lessons on the promotion of healthy eating.

Project Spraoi is in existence in schools since 2013, it is co-ordinated by a team of researchers from Cork Institute of Technology. It works in partnership with a very successful Project Energize from New Zealand.
